The Foodshed Forum, a program of The Foodshed Network, in collaboration with Greenwich Conservation Commission, is an educational and convening platform focused on food system transformation. Our programs facilitate the cross-pollination of ideas and best practices among food justice practitioners, and anyone who is interested in learning about and participating in a just, equitable, resilient and regionalized food system.
The Forum's programs bridge communities while uplifting the grass-roots initiatives that are shifting the culture, leading us towards land and food sovereignty for all, most notably black and brown communities. We frame the industrial food system through a racial justice lens, as programs integrate the historical and present day contextual arch of food production, including its through-line as an harmful system. Adjacent to contextual framing, we uplift initiatives that center creativity, care for community and work to reweave, repair and heal our social and ecological fabric.
