ABOUT
FOODSHED FORUM FAIRFIELD COUNTY

Foodshed Forum Fairfield County (FFFC), builds resiliency in Fairfield County through educating the public and providing critical analysis of the industrial food system and its impacts—not only on food security—but on intersecting issues such as racial inequity, public health, and ecological degradation. Through public events and collaborative initiatives, FFFC convenes front line practitioners and communities around a shared value of protecting access to foodsheds and waterways.

Panel discussions address systemic challenges, raise awareness, and garner support for policies and practices that ensure all residents have access to nourishing, affordable local food.

Foodshed Forum Fairfield County was co-founded by Ali Ghiorse and Sarah Coccaro, Assistant Director of Environmental Affairs Town of Greenwich, in 2022.
