The Foodshed Network is nonpartisan and we do not lobby. We support food, farm and environmental policies through written and spoken testimony and coalition and network building. Everything we engage in upholds our ‘Principles of Engagement’, principles that foster resiliency by redistributing power within the food system back into the community, most notably, communities of color that throughout history and today, are most impacted by the industrial system. We advocate for the businesses, initiatives, leaders and policy that uphold the ‘Principles of Engagement’ that demonstrate what a ‘transformed’ food system might and could be.
